RwandAir Ltd is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda, operating domestic and international services across East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, Europe and the Middle East from its main base at Kigali International Airport.

As part of its expansion strategy, RwandAir is looking for interested, qualified and competent candidates to fill the position of A330 Captain.

Job Purpose

RwandAir invites suitably qualified and experienced A320 Captains and First Officers to apply for selection and subsequent transition to the A330 operation through an approved Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) program.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a valid A320 family type rating and meet the applicable A320 experience requirements.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the position of A330 Captain, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid ATPL License with an A320 family type rating.

  • Have a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.

  • Have a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 endorsed on their license.

  • Have a minimum of 6,000 total flight hours.

  • Have a minimum of 2,500 hours of PIC (Pilot in Command) experience.

  • Have a minimum of 1,000 PIC hours on the A320 family.

  • Preferably have operated the A320 family within the preceding 12 months.

  • Have no accident or incident record.

Required Application Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • Current Curriculum Vitae clearly showing the present employer, rank, aircraft operated and availability.

  • Copy of a valid passport biodata page.

  • Copy of the current pilot license showing:

    • A320 family type rating;

    • Instrument rating;

    • Radiotelephony authorization; and

    • ICAO English endorsement.

  • Copy of a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.

  • Validated copies of the logbook showing a detailed flight experience summary, including:

    • Total flight hours;

    • PIC hours;

    • A320 total hours;

    • A320 PIC hours, where applicable;

    • Hours flown during the previous 12 months; and

    • Date the applicant last operated the A320.

Additional Verification Documents

Shortlisted candidates may be requested to provide additional documents, including:

  • Relevant logbook pages;

  • Official flight hours statement;

  • Training and checking records;

  • References; and

  • A signed declaration confirming the accuracy of the information submitted and consent to the required checks.
