TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToR) FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF A DIGITAL SALES AND MARKETING SENIOR OFFICER
1. Background
Prime Life Insurance Ltd is a life insurance company licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) in 2012 to provide life insurance services in Rwanda. The Company offers innovative and reliable life insurance solutions tailored to the needs of individuals, businesses, and financial institutions.
To support its business growth, brand visibility, customer engagement, and digital sales initiatives, Prime Life Insurance Ltd seeks to recruit a qualified, creative, self-motivated, and results-oriented professional for the position of Digital Sales and Marketing Senior Officer.
2. Position Summary
Job Title:Digital Sales and Marketing Senior Officer
The Digital Sales and Marketing Senior Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing digital sales and marketing initiatives, managing digital platforms and content, supporting customer acquisition and business growth, and developing high-quality visual and promotional materials for digital platforms, marketing campaigns, corporate communications, and events.
3. Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Digital Sales and Marketing Senior Officer will:
- Develop and implement digital sales and marketing plans aligned with the Company's business objectives.
- Manage the Company's digital platforms and social media channels, ensuring regular, relevant, engaging, and consistent content.
- Develop and coordinate digital campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate leads, engage customers, and support sales growth.
- Support the promotion and digital distribution of the Company's insurance products through appropriate digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Create and coordinate professional visual and promotional content, including artworks, social media posts, banners, flyers, brochures, presentations, invitations, and other marketing materials.
- Develop and coordinate multimedia content, including photography, videography, video editing, animations, motion graphics, and other digital visual materials.
- Work closely with the Company's appointed marketing agency and coordinate advertising and promotional activities across traditional and digital media, including radio, television, and online platforms.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers on marketing campaigns, events, printing, advertising, and other promotional activities.
- Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance and prepare reports on key marketing and sales indicators, including recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct market and competitor monitoring and provide insights to support marketing and sales strategies and decision-making.
- Ensure all marketing and promotional materials are accurate, professional, consistent with the Company's brand guidelines, and compliant with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the confidentiality of customer and Company information.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management in support of the Company's strategic objectives.
4. Required Skills and Competencies
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and digital campaign management.
- Strong sales and customer acquisition orientation, with an understanding of digital lead generation and conversion.
- Strong graphic design and visual communication skills, with the ability to independently develop professional marketing materials.
- Proficiency in graphic design and digital content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or equivalent applications.
- Knowledge and practical skills in multimedia content production, including photography, videography, video editing, motion graphics, and other digital visual content.
- Excellent communication, copywriting, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of creativity, professionalism, attention to detail, and integrity.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, French, and Kinyarwanda.
5. Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Must be a Rwandan national.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized university.
- At least three (3) years of proven professional experience in digital marketing, sales and marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns and producing professional marketing and promotional materials.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services sector will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a portfolio of relevant digital marketing, marketing, multimedia, and graphic design work.
