- Organization background
Association Mwana Ukundwa (AMU) is a Christian Organization that wants to see children growing in self-sustained and holistically transformed families. Formed in 1995, AMU operate in 8 districts including Gisagara and Nyaruguru.
- Project background
Since 2024, Association Mwana Ukundwa together with Tearfund, have implemented the project called Kungahara, which is supported by the European Union (EU). This project serves 10,000 farmers through their Self-Help Groups and their cooperatives in both Gisagara and Nyaruguru.
The project purpose is the boost agricultural production through equipping farmers with skills and information to practice smart agriculture.
Food production has doubled over the past 2 years. These Selling Points will support smallholder farmers in accessing markets and improving their marketing channels. They will also help farmers to reduce losses from unethical practices due to a lack of a safe and secure place for them to bring their produce.
