Position: Sales & Marketing Officer
Duty Station: Rusizi, Rwanda Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve hotel revenue targets.
Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, government, NGO, travel trade, and leisure market segments.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, and promotional activities.
Prepare sales reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis.
Coordinate marketing campaigns, social media activities, and promotional events.
Represent the hotel at trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
Assist in the preparation of annual sales budgets and business plans.
Ensure effective follow-up on leads, inquiries, and client feedback.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and digital marketing platforms is an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Valid driving license is an added advantage.
Fluency in English, French, and Swahili (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
