About Munyax Eco 

Munyax Eco is a solar energy company in Rwanda, delivering over 10MWh of clean energy impact  since 2013. We serve homes, businesses, and institutions across Rwanda with solar PV systems,  solar water heaters, cold rooms, and off-grid solutions. Our clients include UNDP, IOM, Zaria  Court, schools, hotels, and embassies. We are entering an accelerated growth phase and are  building the commercial team to match.

The Role 

We are looking for a results-driven B2B Sales & Business Development Officer to own and grow  Munyax Eco’s institutional and commercial sales channel. The successful candidate will manage  a structured outreach program, build relationships with developers, hotels, schools, hospitals, and  NGOs, and take full ownership of the B2B pipeline from first contact through to signed contract.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing and report directly on pipeline progress,  proposal conversion, and revenue generated from your channel. You will be the primary point of  contact for Munyax Eco’s highest-value commercial accounts.

This is a revenue-generating role. Success is measured in deals closed and income produced. Your  monthly and quarterly targets will be agreed with the Head of Sales & Marketing, tracked in the  CRM, and reviewed weekly. The compensation structure reflects this.

Key Responsibilities 

Business Development & Lead Generation 

  • Identify and qualify new B2B prospects across target segments: hotels, schools, hospitals,  NGOs, and real estate developments.
  • Build and maintain a structured outreach pipeline using our CRM — every lead tracked with  a follow-up date, owner, and status.
  • Research and monitor active construction zones to identify early-stage projects and prospects.
  • • Leverage LinkedIn, real estate listing platforms, and social media for systematic lead  generation.
  • Attend relevant trade events and institutional networking opportunities to build a warm  pipeline.

Sales Cycle Management 

  • Own the full sales cycle from first outreach to contract signature for all B2B accounts.
  • • Conduct professional client meetings, presenting Munyax Eco’s product portfolio and ROI  case with clarity and confidence.
  • Prepare proposals and client contract documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with the technical team to ensure accurate scoping, realistic delivery  timelines, and reliable supply commitments to clients.
  • Manage negotiations and close deals against agreed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Account Management & Retention 

  • Maintain strong ongoing relationships with key accounts to drive repeat orders, referrals, and  upsell opportunities.
  • Follow up systematically on all open proposals and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the technical team on post-installation support to protect client relationships  and brand reputation.

Reporting & Pipeline Discipline 

  • Update the CRM daily with call outcomes, meeting notes, proposal status, and next steps.
  • • Report weekly to the Head of Sales & Marketing on pipeline value, conversion rates, and  priority accounts.
  • Flag risks, delays, or competitive threats immediately.

What We Are Looking For Essential 

  • 2–4 years of proven B2B sales experience, with a track record of meeting and exceeding  revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-stage sales cycle and close high-value commercial  deals.
  • Strong prospecting instinct — comfortable generating leads independently through calls,  visits, and networking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Kinyarwanda; French is an  advantage.
  • Highly organised with the discipline to maintain accurate pipeline records and follow up  without being chased.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred 

  • Experience in the energy, construction, real estate, or B2B services sector in Rwanda.
  • • Existing professional network with developers, hotel managers, procurement officers, or NGO  administrators in Kigali.
  • Familiarity with Odoo CRM or similar pipeline management tools.
  • Understanding of solar energy products and their commercial value proposition (training will  be provided).
