About the Role
The Partnerships Officer will support WFP Rwanda's strategic positioning, resource mobilization efforts, and partner engagement activities. The role involves working closely with government institutions, development partners, UN agencies, NGOs, international financial institutions, and private sector stakeholders to advance WFP’s mission of achieving Zero Hunger.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of WFP Rwanda’s Partnerships and Resourcing Strategy.
Develop and strengthen relationships with donors and strategic partners.
Identify and track funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, and international partners.
Prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, donor reports, and briefing materials.
Support government engagement and policy dialogue initiatives.
Develop communication and visibility materials for partners and stakeholders.
Monitor partnership performance, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
Analyze funding trends, partner priorities, and strategic opportunities.
Contribute to innovative partnership and resource mobilization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
Advanced University Degree in:
Political Science
International Development
Development Economics
International Relations
Law
Marketing
Communications
Or another relevant field.
A First University Degree combined with additional relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in:
Partnerships
Resource Mobilization
Communications
Business Development
Programme Management
Policy Engagement
Or related fields.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (Level C).
Knowledge of French or another UN/WFP working language is an added advantage.
