About the Role
The Operational Information Management & Reporting Officer will play a key role in ensuring the availability of accurate, timely, and actionable information that supports operational decision-making, donor reporting, and strategic positioning.
Working closely with programme, supply chain, partnerships, and technical teams, the successful candidate will help transform operational data into high-quality reports, dashboards, and communication products that demonstrate WFP’s impact and results.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Operational Analysis
Consolidate data from corporate systems and partner inputs.
Ensure data consistency across programmes, supply chain, and partnership activities.
Analyze operational trends, risks, and performance gaps.
Maintain a common operational picture to support management decision-making.
Dashboards & Information Products
Develop and maintain country-level dashboards and visual reports.
Produce operational updates, briefs, and information products for internal and external audiences.
Transform complex data into user-friendly visualizations and key messages.
Corporate & Donor Reporting
Coordinate and prepare donor reports and corporate reporting products.
Support the preparation of the Annual Country Report (ACR).
Ensure compliance with donor and organizational reporting requirements.
Draft clear and compelling reports that highlight results and impact.
Narrative Development & Strategic Positioning
Translate operational data into engaging narratives for donors and stakeholders.
Ensure consistency across reports, proposals, and communication materials.
Highlight WFP’s achievements, innovations, and comparative advantages.
Information Coordination & Quality Assurance
Coordinate inputs from multiple departments and field offices.
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reporting products.
Manage internal review and clearance processes.
Knowledge Management & Learning
Maintain repositories of reports, dashboards, and information products.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
Support the development of reporting templates and guidance materials.
Required Qualifications
Education
Advanced University Degree in:
Political Science
International Development
Development Economics
International Relations
Law
Marketing
Communications
Or another related field.
A First University Degree combined with additional relevant work experience may also be considered.
Experience
At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in:
Data Analytics
Partnerships
Programme Management
Business Development
Strategy
Reporting and Information Management
Or other related fields.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (Level C).
Knowledge of French or another UN/WFP working language is an advantage.
Desired Skills
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Excellent writing and communication abilities.
Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
