Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants may receive one or both of the following forms of financial support:
Monthly Stipend
A monthly stipend may be provided through scholarship funding from the Office of International Affairs (OIA), together with matching funds from the student's college, department, or academic advisor.
Tuition Award
Eligible students may receive a tuition waiver covering tuition fees charged at the local-student rate.
The monthly stipend and tuition award may be granted together or separately, depending on the scholarship arrangement.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be international students who have completed at least one semester of study at NYCU and meet the required academic and conduct standards.
Undergraduate Students
Maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0.
Maintain a conduct grade of A or above.
Graduate Students
Take at least one professional/core course each semester.
Maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5.
Maintain a conduct grade of A or above.
Important Restrictions
Students are not eligible to apply if they:
Are currently receiving a government-funded scholarship, such as the Taiwan Scholarship, ESP Scholarship, UST Scholarship, TIGP Scholarship, NSNT Scholarship, or a scholarship sponsored by their home government.
Hold a working visa/ARC that makes them ineligible under the university's scholarship regulations.
