Additional Benefits for International Students

International students receiving eligible HBKU support may be provided with one round-trip airfare during their candidature, consisting of an inbound ticket when beginning their academic program and an outbound ticket upon graduation.

However, students are responsible for covering their housing expenses. Housing costs may therefore need to be paid from the monthly stipend or personal funds.

Eligibility and Conditions

  • Stipends are generally available to full-time graduate students and depend on the availability of funding.

  • Students receiving a stipend may be required to work as Research Assistants (RAs) for their primary supervisors.
